elliephil Usually, the EX means that the move is faster, and/or allows for combos afterwards. The amount of invul may change, but it doesn't have to mean that the EX has more invul frames. For example, Mary's Straight Slicer in XIV has 6 frames of invul in the B version, 12 frames in the D version, and only 8 in the EX version. But the EX starts up in 4 frames, not the 8 of the regular ones. That said, other moves, like Terry's Rising Tackly do follow the doctrine of spending meter gives more invul.
