The biggest issue with moon drive is how often both players get it. Chain shift in UNI has a similar "pause effect" but can only be used a maximum of every 17 seconds by one player at a time. Having access to it is a major advantage that must be earned mid round and played around through the GRD System. Chain shift is also more useful for extending blockstrings and combos than moon drive is. 99% of the time, you're better off saving moon drive for wakeup, where that's not the case in UNI.
