Where did the UK Fighting game scene go?

Back when I first got into the fighting game community (round 2015-16) as far as the offline scene was concerned I used to have a look on the facebook page which used to show where everything was happening but fast forward to today and that's no longer the case. Right now a bunch of us up in Scotland have managed to get a venue to get our local fighting game community back weelkies on track but I feel like we'd be the only fighting game community outside of London or Newcastle doing so. What happened to everyone else? Do we all post elsewhere? Is it just twitter now?

There’s actually quite a few out there but I agree for some reason the advertising for them is pretty bad. Then again they are unpopular on Twitter so it’s not like people will see the tweets. I’m in one in Manchester,I know there’s one in Sheffield,there’s the Sunday Face Off in Birmingham and Leeds. I also know there’s apparently a Bristol FGC as well as a Southampton Arcade scene

EinAston I remember attending an MBA event over at Play Expo one day where it was an exhibition between MBA vs the Scottish players. This back in 2017, was a really good time. I know the other scenes are still actives but like there used to be a central hub which is what I lowkey miss a bit. But maybe it's a sign of the times. Hopefully it makes a comeback though

I think the Facebook one might’ve stopped but I could be wrong
