Something I've struggled to understand well are the mechanics behind HOLD moves (such as Blanka's Head Bite). Does anybody know how the game determines how long you hold your victim and/or how many "hits" you get on them before they're released from your hold? I've seen [TAS] videos that show a character able to hold the opponent and "hit" them for 100% of their life total, and I realize [TAS] (Tool-Assisted Superplay) is not realistic for a human to replicate, but I'm definitely bewildered with the whole concept. Full Disclosure: I've been playing since SF2 released in arcades, and have never fully understood the calculations behind this, and therefore how to best maximize hold time/# of hits when performing a HOLD move. I also Google'd the crap out of this before posting here to no avail. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks much!
